MEMBERSHIP in the New Mexico State Poetry Society (NMSPS) is open to anyone interested in poetry. Anyone up to the age of 22 can join for free. Dues are $20.00 per year for members over 22 years old.


Benefits of membership include:

• Membership in the National Federation of State Poetry Societies (NFSPS).


• Opportunities to participate in and advance notice of upcoming NMSPS events and projectsreadings, workshops, conventions, and more!


• Member rates for entering NFSPS (national) and NMSPS (statewide) poetry contests.


• An opportunity to promote your poetry books and chapbooks through the Members' Book Market page of our website.


• Opportunities to help guide the activities of NMSPS as a project leader, as well as, for Adult members, opportunities to become a Chapter chair or other member of NMSPSs Board of Directors.

How to Join NMSPS or Renew Your Membership

Fill out a Membership Application each year and pay dues accordingly.
Annual applications ensure that we have up-to-date contact information for all our members.
